About the Times Square New Years Eve Ball Drop Festivities
To come to Times Square to see the ball drop is free and does not require tickets, but you may need to arrive extremely early during the day and be willing to stand out in the cold for many hours without access to bathrooms, seating, food or any other amenities.
This is where we come in – we sell tickets for parties in Times Square that will allow you to enter the Times Square area much later (as late as 8pm on New Year’s Eve) and give you access to our parties in the area that will have food, drinks, and music leading up to the ball drop at midnight.
The Times Square New Year’s Eve Ball descends from a flagpole on the top of the One Times Square Building, which is located at 7th Ave, between 42nd St & 41st St. It can be seen along Broadway, from 41st St to 50th St, and along 7th Ave, as far north as 59th St.

- PEDESTRIAN CROSSINGS are official NYPD-controlled walkways that allow guests to safely cross avenues and streets within the secured Times Square zone. You cannot approach a barricade entry point directly without first entering through the appropriate pedestrian crossing. Pedestrian crossings are located at select intersections throughout Times Square and are subject to NYPD control and change without notice.
- BARRICADES. The New York Police Department will set up security checkpoints, called Barricades, throughout Times Square. The NYPD will ask you to present your ticket, which is also your entry ticket to the event. Locate your entry point based on the event you are attending below. Your entry into Times Square cannot be guaranteed if you do not follow these designated ENTRY POINT instructions. You must have your ticket available to present at all times in order to gain entry into Times Square and your event.
- TIME. Moving through Times Square on New Year’s Eve can be a slow process. Make sure to give yourself plenty of time to travel from your hotel or starting point to your party destination. There are police checkpoints throughout Times Square and the wait times may vary. The “doors open” time is located on your actual ticket. We strongly recommend arriving at least 1-hour before the scheduled opening time. NOTE: Trying to enter Times Square after 9:00 PM is difficult and strongly discouraged.
