Times Square Access Information
About the Times Square New Years Eve Ball Drop Festivities
To come to Times Square to see the ball drop is free and does not require tickets, but you may need to arrive extremely early during the day and be willing to stand out in the cold for many hours without access to bathrooms, seating, food or any other amenities.
This is where we come in – we sell tickets for parties in Times Square that will allow you to enter the Times Square area much later (as late as 8pm on New Year’s Eve) and give you access to our parties in the area that will have food, drinks, and music leading up to the ball drop at midnight.
The Times Square New Year’s Eve Ball descends from a flagpole on the top of the One Times Square Building, which is located at 7th Ave, between 42nd St & 41st St. It can be seen along Broadway, from 41st St to 50th St, and along 7th Ave, as far north as 59th St.
2025 Times Square New Years Eve Barricade Entry Points (by Venues)
ENTRY POINTS:
- BARRICADES: The NYPD set up security checkpoints, called barricades, throughout Times Square. The NYPD will ask you to present your physical ticket, which are also your entry tickets to the event. Locate your entry point based on the event you are attending below. Your entry into Times Square cannot be guaranteed if you do not follow these designated ENTRY POINT instructions. Your physical tickets must be on you at all times in order to gain entry into Times Square and your event.
- TIME: Moving through Times Square on New Year’s Eve can be a slow process. Make sure to give yourself plenty of time to travel from your hotel or starting point to your party destination. There are police checkpoints throughout Times Square and the wait times may vary. The “doors open” time is located on your actual ticket. We strongly recommend arriving at least 1-hour before the scheduled opening time. NOTE: Trying to enter Times Square after 9:00 PM is difficult and strongly discouraged.
Please find your venue below (alphabetical order) and enter at the listed ENTRY POINT:
*** At the NYPD Discretion, the Barricade Entry Point at 41st Street and 8th Avenue may change, throughout the evening to 42nd Street & 8th Avenue. There will be dedicated “BallDrop” Staff to assist that evening. ***

Times Square Barricades / Street Closures
The New York Police Department will be closing down access to Times Square from 38th St and Broadway to 59th St & from 6th Ave to 8th Ave. The exact times that these blocks close will depend on when people begin arriving, which is normally the night before, and the area is usually closed off entirely to non ticket holders by around noon on New Years Eve. The only way to enter passed these barricades is to
- Be a resident of the area
- Have a physical ticket to one of our events inside the barricades. We provide guests with tickets that will be recognized by the NYPD and permit them to enter through these barricades and attend our events.
