How must I dress for a NYE party?
It is NYE – it is a tradition to be dressed up as much as possible. Do you really want to introduce the New Year with clothes that you wear everyday?
What does “Festive Attire” mean for Dress Code?
We describe our dress code as “New Year’s Eve Festive”. We understand that people are coming from across the country and around the world to celebrate NYE in New York City, and we don’t directly impose our sense of style on others. Obviously it is a celebratory night and the tickets are sold at a premium price. Fear not – there will not be a strict dress code enforced. HOWEVER, guests tend to be dressed at their best just because the night is a celebration of closing out the past and embracing the New Year.
What does “Open Bar” mean?
The open bar portion of the events provide alcohol already included with the ticket price. This means you do not pay for drinks during this time. This includes beer, wine, spirits, and cocktails. (vodka, rum, whiskey, tequila, gin, cognac, etc.) If the event is open to all ages we provide water, juice, soda, etc. for guests under 21 years old. Although the cost of drinks is included for the given time frames at an Open Bar event, gratuity is not. A tip to the waitstaff / bartenders goes a long way and is a great gesture.
Do Events Include Dinner?
Most of our events provide food in the form of passed appetizers or appetizers buffet, already included in the ticket price. For a more substantial meal, we are also hosting dinners from 5pm to 7pm at Dallas BBQ Times Square so guests can eat early and then party. We also provide large appetizer portions at all of our NYE Cruises. Only the advertised food service will be available at the event. Venue kitchens will be not be stocked or staffed to accommodate additional orders
Do I need to pay gratuity?
Let’s face it: it’s not always fun to tack a few extra bucks of your hard-earned money onto a bill. But since New Yorkers in the service industries (hotels, restaurants and transportation) usually have gratuity factored into their wages, tips are expected and greatly appreciated. Here are some tips for handling tips at our events:
- Open Bar: Bartenders expect $2-3 a drink/shot in gratuity during an Open Bar.
- Seated VIP: The standard for gratuity at a seated VIP ticket is 15% of the ticket price for mediocre service to 20% for stellar service regardless if alcohol is consumed or not.
- VIP Table: The standard for gratuity at a VIP table is usually a fixed amount per bottle of alcohol received. Let’s say $50-75 for a bottle of Vodka/Tequila and $25-75 for a bottle of champagne/prosecco. In some cases, gratuity is 18% of the ticket price which can be billed in advance when you check out or the night of the event. All this info is stated in your ticket description prior to purchase.
Do you handle Hotel Accommodations?
We are a business with the singular focus of hosting New Year’s Parties in NYC. We do not offer packages that include overnight stays or hotel rooms, but if you purchase tickets to one of our hotel-based parties, we can connect you directly with a concierge that can facilitate overnight bookings for you and your group.
